Provident Fund

The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (abbreviated to EPFO), is an Organization tasked to assist the Central Board of Trustees, a statutory body formed by the Employees' Provident Fund and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 and is under the administrative control of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India.

Applicability of Employees' Provident Fund and Miscellaneous Provisions Act 1952:

  • Every establishment which is engaged in any one or more of the industries specified in Schedule I of the Act or any activity notified by Central Government in the Official Gazette.
  • Employing 20 or more persons.
  • Cinema Theatres employing 5 or more persons.

Documents Required :

For Sole Proprietor :

  • Copy of PAN Card of the proprietor.
  • Copy of Aadhar Card of the proprietor.
  • 1 Passport size photo of the proprietor.
  • Copy of Rental Agreement of Business Premises.
  • Copy of latest electricity bill or Property Tax paid receipt of the premises.
  • Latest one month current account statement.
  • Digital Signature Certificate of proprietor.
  • Employee details list – format will be shared later.

For Partnership Firm :

  • Copy of Partnership PAN Card.
  • Copy of Form – C Registration.
  • Copy of Partnership Deed.
  • Copy of Rental Agreement of Business premises.
  • Copy of latest electricity bill or Property Tax paid receipt of the premises.
  • Copy of PAN Card of all the Partners.
  • Copy of Aadhar Card of all the Partners.
  • Passport size photo of all Partners- 1 each.
  • Latest one-month current account statement.
  • Digital Signature Certificate of any one Partner.
  • Employee details list – format will be shared later.

For Limited Liability Partnership :

  • Copy of LLP PAN Card.
  • Copy of Incorporation Certificate of LLP.
  • Copy of LLP Agreement.
  • Copy of Rental Agreement of Business Premises.
  • Copy of latest electricity bill or Property Tax paid receipt of the premises.
  • Copy of PAN Card of all the Partners.
  • Copy of Aadhar Card of all the Partners.
  • Passport size photo of all partners- 1 each.
  • Latest one-month current account statement.
  • Digital Signature Certificate of any one Partner.
  • Employee details list – format will be shared later.

For Company :

  • Copy of Company PAN Card.
  • Copy of Incorporation Certificate.
  • Copy of MOA and AOA.
  • Copy of Rental Agreement of Business Premises.
  • Copy of latest electricity bill or Property Tax paid receipt of the premises.
  • Copy of PAN Card of all the Directors.
  • Copy of Aadhar Card of all the Directors.
  • Passport size photo of all Directors- 1 each.
  • Latest one-month current account statement.
  • Digital Signature Certificate of any one Director.
  • Employee details list – format will be shared later.

Procedures :

  • Collection of Documents
  • Preparation and submission of Application
  • Verification by concerned authority
  • Submission of further documents, if any required by the authority on verification. It must be noted that it is Client / Company's responsibility to provide the required or requested documents from the authorities.

Time :

  • Provident Fund Registration – 10 to 15 Working Days.

Fees :

  • Sole Proprietorship up to 25 Employees – ₹7,500
  • Partnership up to 25 Employees – ₹7,500
  • Limited Liability Partnership up to 25 Employees– ₹7,500
  • Company up to 25 Employees – ₹7,500

Note : Preparation of Digital Signature Certificate (if required) will be charged separately: ₹2,000
